The international anti-India media took Roy's opinions as representing Indian opinion. That she has no connection whatsoever with the India of the majority Indians and the common India has been ignored. My comment was not about her personal life; it was about how she is not 'Indian' , but more WOG in her attitudes and opinions; and why she is so.
This is your Blog and as such, dissent need not be allowed. Those who write in opinions should remember this. A Blog need not be democratic; or rather need be only as democratic as Pakistan ever was.

R.Sajan,

I don't know much about Arundhati Roy myself. All I know is what she wrote on this issue, which, as I mentioned, I found the points she brought up to be insightful. That has nothing to do with her upbringing, character, or history, neither of which are particularly relevant.

If, on the other hand, you take issue with some of the points she brought up irrespective of her personal life, then please do share.

Ms. Roy has never known hunger. She is of that elite set that can afford to eat from the Taj. Not even half percent of Indians can afford it. She does not represent India.

I am also sure that none of the attackers of Mumbai belonged to the Pak elite either. Ms. Roy is perhaps critical because of such scum daring to frighten her likes in their privileged environs.

How much did she get for this anti-India article? More than what an ordinary Indian gets for a whole year's work, I am sure. Would she have found any takers abroad, if it had been pro-Indian?

"Anti-terrorism laws are not meant for terrorists; they’re for people that governments don’t like" They are to keep the ruling classes safe. Ms. Roy belongs to that class.
